WHY DOES IT WORK SO WELL?

What we don’t do is tell people what to do, give them principles to follow, or urge them to behave in certain ways. Instead we focus on people’s mindsets, the points of view they have about other people, about their bosses, about the people who report to them, about the challenges they are facing.
When we say we focus on people’s mindsets, we don’t mean that we try to change their points of view. Instead we succeed in having them see that their points of view are exactly that – points of view – not “the truth” about how things are. When people really get that – not because they are told that but because they discover that – new actions and ways of thinking happen naturally. They begin thinking, acting and performing with the blinders taken off.
